My blogs posts aren't properly updating tweets to twitter feed

  My blog is linked to a twitter account.

  Once I’m complete with a post, I click publicize and add the tweet. Recently, the tweets have not been appearing on my twitter feed (they did before).

  What would be causing this?

  Also, there is a twitter follow button at the top of my blog. How do I remove? (I have unchecked the option for a follow button in the dashboard under widgets).
