My bold tagline disappeared
-
Hi,
For some reason, the tagline for my site is not showing-up anywhere.
How can I get it back?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
This is your tagline:
Yoga Instruction and Nutritional CounselingThe Site title and/or the optional Tagline can be changed on the top of this page at any time. > Settings > General
“save changes”
That is exactly where search engine spiders look for the site title and removing it from there can cause issues with getting your content indexed. -
Yes, I see it if you type in my address for the site and the landing page it takes you too. But I want the landing page to be my home page and therefore have the tagline there. Can I make my home page my landing page?
Thanks.

By default the front page of your blog displays all published posts (not pages) in reverse chronological order, with the most recently published post on top. That is for the convenience of your returning visitors, who come to read your latest post, and who are not likely to be happy with being compelled to click through the same static page with the same blah, blah, blah on it every time they visit the blog looking for the latest post.
However, if you do not want all the posts to show on the front page, then you can create a static front page called for example “Welcome” for your site and a “Blog” page for posts. To do that create two pages first http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/
After you do that you go to > Settings > Reading and make the designation change and click “save changes”.

I advise that you slow way down and start by figuring out how to use the Forever theme in the mode that it is designed to operate in. You have been provided instructions for doing that in another thread. Please go to that thread and work through it. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/making-image-slider-photo-full-size?replies=9#post-1562305 -
Thanks very much! I really appreciate your help with all of my posts! Normally I would go a little slower but I need to have a rough prototype of something by Monday and Forever was just the theme I chose for it.

a) “Can I make my home page my landing page?”
? Home page = landing page = blog front = main blog address.b) Forever displays the tagline only on the main posts page. The landing page displays your main posts page by default, but you’ve set it to display a static page instead. If you want the posts slider, the tagline, and your latest posts on the landing page, go to Settings > Reading and revert to “Front page displays” > “Your latest posts”.
(After you do that, you’ll need to correct your custom menu.)
