My Bueno Theme Question

    Hello,
    So on my blog Tween Dream I have the theme Bueno. I added a background which is busy and you can barely read the text in the sidebar? Any idea how to change the text colour to black or change the widgets background to white?

    Thanks in advance!

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Oh and also, if you don’t know what I mean by white background take a look at this site:

    The blog linked to your username is not wearing the Bueno theme. It’s wearing the Digg3 theme. Is this about a differnet blog? If it’s a different blog then post the URL.

    Please understand that the characteristics and features of each theme are unique at wordpress.com. They do no all come from a cookie cutter template. So the instructions we give must be specific to the theme.

    Oh no my blog http://tweendream.wordpress.com has the theme bueno but I did change it to sirius for the time being. The white background example is the http://youngfashionistas.tk

    To add a white background to the sidebar area on bueno, you would have to have some CSS editing experience and the paid CSS upgrade. You could either add a long continuous white background to the entire sidebar area, or to individual widgets so that the background showed between the widgets.

    I’m also using the Bueno theme and have the same problem: I want to be able to read the text of the sidebar widgets even if I have a busy background. I have paid for the CSS upgrade. I’d like to add a background box of sorts behind the text of the sidebar widgets. Any suggestions on how to do this in CSS?

    Thanks

    @sbaker333
    The CSS editing upgrade will allow you to stylize the appearance of themes you find here > Appearance > Themes, but it does not allow you to change the functionality, by editing the underlying template. Also note that as CSS is theme specific, you cannot use the CSS stylesheets from other themes with the themes here at wordpress.COM.

    If you do purchase the upgrade be sure to read this article before starting your editing > http://csswiz.wordpress.com/2009/10/15/if-you-have-the-wp-com-css-upgrade/

    There is no official Staff support for the CSS upgrade, and only 2 Volunteers who help when they can. Please be patient and consult tutorials found here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-css/#css-help while waiting for a Volunteer to help you. :)

    “If you do purchase ” ought to have been “As you have purchased”

    Give this a try. It styles the sidebar background the same as the post background with the same border and border color.

    #sidebar {
    background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #FFFFFF;
    border: 5px solid #EFEFEF;
    }

    .widget h3 {
    padding: 10px 0 10px 15px;
    }

    #container .widget-bueno-featured li {
    padding: 10px 0 10px 10px;
    width: 280px;
    }
