My Comment – changing the blog link

I have two blogs in wordpress.com. My original one is http://nestless.wordpress.com. After a while I turned this blog from public to private and opened another blog http://tweedleanddoodle.wordpress.com. This one is public. Now I am running into a problem when I comment in other blogs.
My comments in other wordpress blogs shows my user name as a link, and when people click on that they are taken to a subscription page for my private and original blog. How can I change this so that link takes them to my public blog? I did try to change this through settings, but nothing has changed.

Which is your primary blog in ‘My Blogs -> Manage Blogs’? If it’s the old one try changing it to the new one and see if that helps.

In your profile, you have a box marked “Website”. Change it there. This will not, however, change past comments you’ve made: they will still point to the private blog.

Thank you! it worked now. My problem was that I kept checking the old comments I had made and not try to comment after making the changes. I just tried it again and it worked!

Glad to hear it. SOMETIMES it changes retroactively, but most of the time it doesn’t, and I don’t know what makes the difference.
