My comments and track backs are showing up in Akismet

  Oddly, my comments — ones that I respond to when people leave comments on my site are sometimes showing up in Akismet folder as possible spam. Also my track backs that once showed up in my email — when I place links within my posts to refer the reader to past posts for information — previous posts — are also showing up in Akismet as possible spam. Why is Second Chance to Live — my site — showing up as possible spam and how can I correct the matter???

  Also, comments that I leave for my readers are not showing up in my comments. What is up with this problem?

  If you have the setting in your Admin => Options => Discussions to catch spam with more than (2) links or whatever the number is, that will still catch spam (or at least go to moderation). That would be the most obvious to me. “Unspamming” constantly will teach Akismet as well.

  As for the second question, it might be that they have it so that they moderate all comments so they will not show up until they approve them. It might not be that you are getting ‘spammed’ ;)
