my comments are being blocked – and even a question I put up on support was blocked can I get some h

thanks for answering, i was not sure you would – there is a long discussion about this on the class of january 2015 about this – one woman just found 3 of my comments in her spam – after over 1 week – so its been going on for at least a week and I was getting annoyed with her for not replying and not putting my posts to her challenge up
another comment i left surfaced today after a week – it was just a comment on a blog post – that’s all – I tried putting up a post on the community pool, yesterday and today, and it didn’t go up
I can’t even remember what else – because i have been busily commenting all week in an effort to find new contacts and interest for my blog!
is there any reason this should happen?

Julz,
There is no general problem or block with your comments. Every site owner can moderate their own comments, and they may choose to review them before they are posted, or not post all comments. This would explain why a comment of yours could appear a week later: the blog owner has not reviewed their pending comments yet.

i’m going to cheat this week i wrote this post earlier in the week and at the end I copied/re-blogged a video – first time I’ve had a video in any of my posts – of status quo in the nude singing one of their hits – it actually came from their website, so it counts as a reblog doesn’t it Elle? smile have added the reblog tag !Like

It happened once before with another good friend of mine. She couldn’t comment on any of my stuff. We finally sorted it out too. I’ll have to keep an eye on that spam! ~ElleLiked by you

I started commenting on the cake post on page 7 – and on another one I think, and them put a query up about my own post – on julzcards.wordpress.com, and that hasn’t shown up either

neither did the comments I left on there show up the day before
nor has anyone replied to my comments for weeks and just thought people were very self centred and dismissed it – it wasn’t until Elle, above, didn’t bother to reply to about 6 comments that I took it seriously and asked the january class of 2015 if they knew what was happening

oh yes and I commented on yet another blog last night and that comment didn’t appear either nor did a message appear saying it was being held for moderation

Hi Julz,
I saw that you had a couple other posts get marked as spam in the forum as well. It’s possible Akismet marked your username as spam somewhere previously. I’ll alert the developers in charge of that and get you unmarked as spam.
However, the instances where a “comment is held in moderation” are different from spam. Every site administrator can hold comments in moderation whether it’s spam or not, depending on their preference:

I know about the moderation process, but, comments that have said they were awaiting moderation also went straight to spam – I did a test with a friend today, and it was only because she was aware of the problem, that she found it!

It’s possible your comment contained phrases from the site’s Comment Blacklist:
Those are always sent to spam instead of the moderation queue.
If the site owner contacts us about the issue we can look investigate it further with them. :)
Keeping your username unspammed (as I’ve already reported) in the filter should help out with any instance outside of each sites individual settings, but those comment blacklist and moderation settings always come first.

i mentioned that they had no clothes on – but used a word beginning with n……
writing it this way in case this comment gets spammed!but other totally innocuous comments have got lost, and I can’t remember how far it goes back – over a week at least…
yes I did consider the blacklist, but surely not everyone would have blocked this – its a jokey comment about a jokey blog post
and my other blog – julzcrafts.com has had the same treatment!
any other suggestions?

WordPress.com staff try to only reply through one support thread regarding the same issue, so you don’t get multiple replies that say basically the same thing. That’s why its just me. :)
Your user records now say that you are not marked as spam, so I wouldn’t expect further issues with comments being marked as spam unless done so by the settings of the site where you commented.
Your blog is not marked as spam either, so that is not a cause of commenting issues.
If your friends’ blogs continue to push your comments into spam, please have them report it to us and we can investigate the spam as its part of their blog.

the reason why there are more than one question on the same subject was because the first one I opened decided that it was resolved before I even finished explaining the problemso I tried one that was public and the realised that it should have been private – i don’t even know which one this is – but i am pretty disgusted at the lack of concern shown by anyone – apart from you – and the time it took to answer – the first answer was so dismissive and then did not follow up my replies that I wrote a blog about this situation, and no one – not even you- has noticed it!
I do hope that the situation is resolved – but you haven’t actually confirmed that I was marked as spam and it was taken off, or that my identity was never marked as spam, but you don’t know what else to say!
I will certainly pursue this if it is still happening – but am too tired to do any tests tonight.
All i was doing was a bit of support and encouragement for either members of the january 101 blogging course, or commenters on the community pool, and other blogs I found interesting – I wasn’t doing anything wrong, or posting anything nasty or rude and I feel that the way I have been treated is disgusting – especially when no one has announced to me that the live chat has been withdrawn!

I understand that you were frustrated and why you made more than one topic. Just wanted to explain that you were only receiving replies from because I closed the other one on the same topic to keep you from getting multiple responses. Sorry if that was unclear.
I also apologize if you found the previous responses unhelpful, but I did indeed report to have your username removed from spam when I contacted you 8 hours ago, 3 hours ago I then confirmed that your username is marked as not spam.
While checking your blog to see if it was marked as not spam (which I then confirmed with you that it is not marked as spam) I did see your blog post where you mentioned staff being unhelpful. As disheartening as that is to see, I feel like the best thing I can do is to serve your needs instead of commenting on the post.
I apologize if you feel you’re not being served in this issue. However, since I’ve been able to confirm three hours ago and now that you’re not marked as spam, I hope that resolves the issue going forward.
Regarding Live Chat, we guarantee Live Chat to be available for our Business Plan customers from 7am to 7pm (EST), Monday through Friday. We do our best to make it available to Premium plan members during that time as well, but during any times that Happiness Engineers are not available the option for Live Chat is not shown. It’s not being withdrawn entirely, just a matter of time and staffing.
Again, I’m sorry if you feel I’ve been unhelpful in any way, I’ve simply been trying the first steps we can take.

however, you didn’t close my first attempt to contact support – it closed itself automatically – that’s why I got a bit frantic, because I thought that meant I was being shut out everywhere!Had meant to go to sleep a while back, and am about to now, so again – will check on the status of my comments in the morning and let you know if things are now working – but I did check the comments on the Reader, and only today’s were there, and they were the ones that I’d managed to contact the people about thro the class of january 2015 commons page.
The lady who’s comments about this I copied above has now checked again and there were 6 of my comments in spam, going back 3 weeks.
And altho I asked, I am still not clear whether you actually checked that it was the askimet ? spam thing that was blocking me, and know that it has been taken off, or are assuming that the other support staff have actually done it?

its now morning, and I think whatever you did or didn’t do – smile – has worked – I seem to have been able to put a comment up on the community pool – WOW – and I have left a couple of comments on other people’s sites, and they have shown up……but can we keep this thread open for another few hours so I can be sure its working – need to check back with people to see if the comments have stayed when they were put up – smile
