Don’t go to his site anymore. But I don’t think there’s anything you can do because it is his blog. Or post something on your site and link back to his hoping a trackback appears on his site so his visitors can see it. I wouldn’t worry about it. People think the worst things about me and some of them are funny. Someone posted something at Craig’s List saying I do porn. lol

Think of it as like someone in real life lying about you. Basically, you just have to say he’s lying about you and wait for his lies to catch up with him. If he’s twisting your comments on his site, do as nosy said and just don’t comment on his blog anymore. Ignore him. Ice him. Sooner or later he’ll realize he has no friends and maybe he’ll read this and discover it’s because people know he’s a jerk.

Ha ha ha… Sorry. That is so rude what the guy is doing, and why? You are right, if people click on your name-link and come to you blog they will think you are gay.

It is in fact a bit stupid that blog owners can edit visitors’ comments. Why would they want to do that? It takes some of the authenticity away that you can actually edit what other people already said. It should be possible to delete, but not edit, visitors’ comments.

But funny that that guy actually did just that. Sorry… not funny for you, of course.

    Anne

    Take this hypothetical situation:

I go to your blog and leave you comments on every post, calling you names and generally bad-mouthing you and your family.

Would you not want to be able to edit or delete the bad comments?

Unfortunately, as we can see from above, this is open to abuse, but I want to be able to remove or edit comments as necessary. If most of the comment is valid with a bad line at the end then I would rather remove the offending line than the whole comment.

@dragonflyer: If you have a genuine complaint about this then I would raise feedback for it and see if staff will do anything about it. I would say probably not they can do and echo what nosy and rain said above.

My advice would be to not comment there again.
They are obviously not interested in anything but their own words so why bother?

And if you have a link to them, remove that too.

  • Unknown's avatar

Removed link from the original post as well.

Can’t believe that they bumped twice within 5 minutes…

  • Unknown's avatar

Nice thanks but its not really helping, Because he could say my name in the visitor box,
And as like its so bad his blog has 100000 hits so like people are starting to think i sort of am gay

It’s his blog. He has control over the comments. There’s not a whole lot that you can do.

Nothing from stopping you from doing the same thing to him. (I can’t believe I just wrote that.)

Neither can I. It seems the penguin club is beginning to resemble “Lord of the Flies”.

  • Unknown's avatar

All I know is I can’t spend my coins on anything over there.

@Dragonflyer: I see on your site that you are [edited – drmike] years old.

I know what that other person is doing stinks and is unfair, but the best thing you can do is ignore it (i know you’re thinking, “easy for her to say”). If you just continue on with your life in Club Penguin as if that other person doesn’t exist –this means not commenting on his/her site, not visiting his/her site, not wasting any time or energy on his/her site– you will be MUCH happier.

One of the great and scary things about the internet is you can be whomever you want. YOU have control over that, no one else does.

You have 43,000 hits on your site. That’s A LOT. Take the time you’re spending worrying about that other person and use it to make YOUR site better than his/hers. Once the word is out about your awesome site, no one’s going to care what that other person is doing.

    Good luck.

I agree 100% with Judyb12. However, I think that nobody should have “rights” or “control” over other people’s words or ideas without their consent, no matter where these words or ideas are said or written, no matter their age, race, religion, gender…

All im saying is this chewitt dude guy is so rude, Cant some wordpress guy delete those comments he edited on http://www.chewittt.wordpress.com Look in the 2nd post with 198 comments or something or maybe the 3rd

    Dude

Every time you post the link to his blog you are advertising for him even more. Is that really what you want guy?

    dude like guy dude.

    See this post above:

    https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic.php?id=7896&replies=16#post-53090

It’s from Mark. He’s one of the main bods at wp.com. He hasn’t said anything about going and deleting the comments. My guess would be no, no-one is going to delete the comments.

I understand that you’re miffed about this dude guy, but really. Like welcome to the big bad internet. dude.

  • Unknown's avatar

Well, Mark, the wordpress guy suggested that you stop posting comments there and you’re still doing it. Maybe if you would stop posting comments at that site, he wouldn’t have anything to edit. It’s chewittt’s site. He can do whatever he wants with it.

I think you should just stop going to chewittt’s site. Make a better one than his and folks will come to your site instead of his.

  • Unknown's avatar

No, WordPress will not delete comments, or anything, from a site unless they violate the Terms of Service. You’re going to have to live with this. Sorry.

It appears that the children’s club penguin is becoming more and more like Lord of the Flies every day.
