My comments are not visible on other blogs

In the last half an hour I commented on at least 4 blogs and my comment never appears, it simply disappears. If I want to try again, it says that I shouldn’t duplicate comments. So clearly they went through and have landed in spam.

Hi there,
You are referring to sites that you own? Or sites that are owned by other individuals? When your comment appears depends a lot on how the owner of the site has set things up to approve comments. It is not usually the case that a comment will appear automatically as soon as it is made because most site owners will hold comments in “moderation” until they have time to approve them.

It would also say this is the site owner is sending all comments to “moderation” to be manually approved at a later date, so it is not necessarily the case that your comment went to spam. If you do not see your comment after 24 hours you may wish to contact the site owner directly to enquire about it, but we do not have control over comment moderation settings so we cannot approve your comments, only the site owner(s) can do this.

They were different sites, all WordPress blogs. On most of them I had commented before and I know that they don’t have to approve each comment. Right now it happened again on a blog I have commented on in the past and I know that it should appear immediately. Some of the bloggers in questions from three days ago have informed me that my comment had ended up in their spam. It might be because I have been catching up of my friends’ blogs and have liked a lot of their posts in a short time lately. The system thinks I’m a spammer. :(
