my comments not on my comments

Some comments I have left on other wordpress blogs don’t show up in “my comments” on my dashboard. My avatar also does not show up on the other blogs next to my comment. Other times, it seems to work fine. Any thoughts on why some work and some don’t?

If your comments don’t show up, it could be because your comment is awaiting moderation.
Avatar- some bloggers disable them. If no other comenteer in the same blog have an avatar.. that’s why. -
They are not awaiting moderation as they show up immediately. Many other comments have their avatars next to their comments.

So the missing thing here is the avatar?
And that your comments don’t show up in your “commented on”-list?

On some wordpress blogs, my avatar shows up as the random generated thing or the monster thing (even though other people’s comments don’t). When that happens, my comment does not show up in the “my comments” list on dashboard.

That sound really odd. I have no idea, I’m afraid, so unless some bright head pops up here, I’d contact support if I where you.

He’s probably talking about blogs that are independently hosted, using WordPress software. Our avatars here do not necessarily synch up with their systems. And some of the themes here don’t display avatars in the comments at all.

Also, you will show up as a random icon (monster or the quilt design) if you’re not signed in, even on your own blog.

i am new @ this, and i am also having trouble with my comments. my professor uses a wordpress blog for our class, so if we need to contact her or respond to any assignments this is how we do it instead of traditional email. i posted a comment/reply to our homework assignment, but my comment is not showing up as a reply or in my dashboard under “my comment”….help please…
