My comments still being treated as spam

Hi,
Despite 3 requests for assistance, my comments are still being treated as spam. I HAVE SENT THE FORM TO AKISMET and they told me the problem had been fixed but I am still unable to comment.
I then let Akismet know the problem persists and they haven’t got back to me. What can I do now? If I can’t interact socially here I have to consider another platform.

Hi,
Like I said I’ve tried filling in that form already. And I’ve emailed Akismet. Is there a possibility this problem is cause by a virus? I’ve been getting lots of spam on my own site too.

We’re still investigating the underlying cause. It seems to be a network-related issue specific to some UK broadband networks and affecting only WordPress.com. If we can publish more details than that then we will.

I’ll give that another go then (mentioning BT this time!) You definitely don’t think it’s virus related? Should I run some scans?

I don’t see any indication that this is virus related but then what do I know? I scan my computer regularly. You could even say I’m obsessive about it so my answer is you have nothing to lose by scanning your computer but I don’t think the two are related.

I have been helped by Akismet; Mark, I believe said that the problem was resolved, but I still can’t post comments on anyone’s blog whether I have commented before or not. I did request a fellow blogger to check and see if my comment was in her spam folder which she did indeed find and then unmarked it. I can comment on her blog, but only her blog. This is disappointing. Thank you for your help. Take care. Oh, by the way, I am not a resident of the UK but of the USA.
