My comments to wordpress blogs marked as spam

Recently my comments have been sent to spam. The blog authors found them and let me know they had not marked my inputs to be spam.

This seems to be happening more and more – and we aren’t the only ones, My comments have been approved before so Askimet knows I am not a spammer and I don’t add links in to the comments either – baffles my brain
is there anyway to fix this?

Basically, just don’t comment except on blogs that know they should look for you in Akismet Spam. After a certain number of un-spammings, Akismet will learn. It happens to everyone from time to time, particularly during and after spambot attacks, as Akismet tightens up.
You may want to register another ID and get a blog just so you can comment under one ID and un-spam yourself repeatedly. When your comments show up immediately, then you know Akismet has learned.
