My completed post vanished. Why?
-
This is the secfond time I have completed a post, clicked the preview button and the post and accompanying picture vanish. It’s just gone. The headline remains, but the copy and photo are gone and do not exist in any earlier revision. What happened? I’m not thrilled about having to write the whole thing all over.

Which exact post are you referring to?
Please make sure you use the “Save draft” button occasionally to save your post. It seems there are many post drafts on your blog, have you tried using the post revisions feature? -
I guess I wasn’t clear. I completed writing a draft, clicked the “save draft” button and the piece disappeared — except for the headline and tags. It was gone from all previous revisions. Another time was similar, except the completed draft disappeared when I clicked the “preview” button.. same deal. This has happened 3 times. Can’t find any way to recover the draft. VERY frustrating.

I have probably used the word “post” when I should have used “draft” It’s completed drafts that disappeared. I was also having problems with the “preview” function (aside from drafts disappearing with I clicked on “preview”) when preview worked, the left side of everything disappeared— like the first two or three letters of each line. I was using Internet Explorer as my browser with Windows 7. I switched back to Firefox as my browser, which seems to have solved the problem. Is it possible for Internet Explorer to be incompatible with Windows 7? Internet Explorer was also excruciatingly slow, but that may have been Comcast — or not. Firefox seems to have everything working again.

That should work perfectly fine.
Are you running any add-ons with it? If so, would you mind disabling them?
-
Yes, I’m running Diigo. I was having so much trouble with Internet Explorer-really s-l-o-w (besides the vanishing problem) that I’ve switched back to Firefox 8.0 and am having no trouble, but that just updated, and Diigo is not enabled yet. My computer is new, and not cluttered up much yet.
And yes, I can disable Diigo, but the inability to bookmark all sorts of pieces is high stress for me :>) -
Just out of curiosity, does it work any better with Diigo disabled?
Of course, if you’re happy with Firefox and would rather not try, I don’t mind. I prefer Firefox to IE. :)

Firefox just updated today, and the new version doesn’t have Diigo adapted yet. I was happy with Firefox, but then it started having all sorts of problems (which apparently others were having too) so I switched to IE and have had constant problems with that, so switched back. I tried Chrome, and it seems faster.
I just want an extension that lets me keep several articles at hand to use as reference. Firefox 8 seems better. If I can just get my headline problem fixed. Thanks so much for your help!!

Is the “headline problem” something with us? If so, would you please let us know what’s happening?
-
Yes. I’m running the theme “Benevolence”, and the headlines are now plain type, not bold and black. It seems only to happen with Firefox and Windows 7. Same pages viewed from Chrome or IE are fine.

Can you please try clearing your cookies and cache on Chrome?
