my confirm button disappeared…

I am still in the planning stages of my blog, and have posted 2 test entries on the site. The theme i’m using is “Monochrome” by Mono-Lab. I love that theme.
well for a while nothing was wrong. now i have an idea of what caused this, but now when i’m editing a post, the “Publish” button doesn’t exist anymore. its gone, so i can’t save a post OR changes to a post. So i’m confused. But what happened is, i noticed the hanging tabs at the top of the page when i was editing a post, one said “Screen Options”. as i was playing with these, my confirm button, and the settings for whether a post is just a draft or published are gone too. all other settings are still there. i realize that those screen settings allow me to turn on the “Like’s and Shares” and etc, but i really would like to make these final changes to this post and its kinda hard without a “Publish Button”.
Tried searching the database and all other options but i’m truly stumped.
anyone have an idea of what to do?

First thing to try when a problem occurs in the dashboard is to log out, clear your browser cache and cookies, restart your browser and then try again. If that doesn’t work, try a different browser and see if that works.

Ok, tried it, nothing happened. Still no publish button. If it weren’t for the fact that I had an iPhone with the WordPress app, i couldn’t change my posts. :-( anything else?
Can’t understand why this would happen. Really making life frustrating but i’m keeping my chin up.

ok, first of all yes i am on a computer that has a firewall. so i attempted to open my account on a computer that didn’t have a firewall. same problem. when i try to make a new post or update an existing one, the “Publish” section is completely missing.
then i attempted something completely different.
using my iphone, disconnected from wifi and using only the 3G network (not even going through my router) it had the same issue. also, i’m not sure if my issue is anything at all like this persons :-(seems like he’s having trouble with his blog disappearing. my blog that i have made appears fine.
i’m completely confused.

ps, when i was using the iphone, i’m not talking about the WordPress app for iPhone, i’m talking about wordpress.com in the web-browser on my phone.

Ah, so yours had gotten switched to one column display? I’ve seen that before where it mysteriously seems to change itself.
