My connection to my account keeps timing out

I was referring to both actually. If shockwave/flash is misbehaving, it could cause issues with your browser and other programs.
The thoughts on Chrome and the short development cycle are just my experience with it and I’ve gotten all my client’s to either switch to Firefox (they have gone to the short cycle as well) or to Safari. If they insist on using Chrome, I tell them not to contact me if it blows up on them.

Flash and shockwave I think are going to disappear within the next year or two. Flash has always been a problem from a stability and security standpoint and everyone is sort of turning their backs on it.

Yikes!! What a pain. So Safari on Windows is the best option? Flash does not work on my Safari. Do I need to download a Safari version for the Safari browser?

I understand HTML5 is going to be the wave of the future. I was just read one of the Flash commentaries and my experience is exactly what they outlined a complete Chrome meltdown. Actually my notebook crashed as a result of Chrome melting down this morning. Everything just froze up and I could not shut Chrome down When I finally forced it to shut down I lost everything on the program bar. Could not even shut my computer down and had to power it down. When I tried restarting it would not restart. Notebook was very hot and once it cooled down it restarted just fine. Initially I thought my issues with WordPress was as a result of this meltdown this morning but I had the same issues with my home server and my backup computer.

I found three versions of flash running. I followed the instructions disabled two of them. So far everything seems to be working with Flash. Will see.
Thanks for everything.

Sounds like when flash froze, it held the processor in the computer at 100%. I’ve seen that before on my Mac and when I hear the fans starting to sound like a C-130 taking off, I force quit whatever process is causing the issue if I can, or do as you did and doing a forced power down. I’ve had situations like that mess up the hard drive and had to repair it before I could get everything running correctly again.
You might still have a firewall issue since you are having issues with all your computers.

I did not realize that Chrome acting up could cause my computer to heat up.
The same thing happened with my computer about a year ago and Dell replaced the motherboard as they thought that the video driver was on the fritz. Crashed my hard drive and windows files and could not run Windows. And all along Chrome is the culprit.
I will have my firewall checked to make sure that it is not a contributing factor.Again thanks for everything
