My contact form is pre-filled!

  What the heck? I have a Contact Me page on my site, but when I go there, I see the form filled in with my information. That’s no help! When I go into edit to try to remove the pre-filled text, it doesn’t save as a blank form. What is going on?

  That’s normal behavior because you are logged in. Yes, there will be auto-filled information in a contact form or a comment box but your information is visible to you when you are logged in and have not cleared your browser cache and cookies. No one else can see it.

  When someone makes a comment on your blog, unless they have cleared their cookies, WordPress.com will recognize them and complete the details for them. No one else will be able to view those details in comment boxes or in contact forms. The next person who comments will see blank fields. Commenters will not see each others details.

  The only people who can edit your site are those you provide that ability to. See here https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/ and here please https://en.support.wordpress.com/email-notifications/

  Also, not that there is an Admin link on posts and pages that only you as Admin and any Editors you have created can see when you are logged in. It’s for your convenience and your visitors cannot see it. You cannot remove it as it’s coded into the theme templates and we cannot edit templates or themes.

  If you log out, clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies and then visit your site without logging in that links will not appear to you.

  That happens to me too. I think it’s normal and will happen on other sites while you’re logged in. Click here and see.

  Closed thread. You are seeing your contact details because you’re signed in to your account. When I go to your contact form I will see my details for example, not yours.
