My contributors can approve/delete my comments!
-
I have ulimited readers as I had 750+ people ask to be added to my private blog (had a blog on blogspot, wanted to go private).
I’ve added them all as contributor (subscribor is not an option) and now they can see my dashboard and edit comments!
If I DON’T add them as contributor, they can’t view my blog.
HELP!!!!!

Um, they don’t have to be a contributor to view your blog. But if you have 750 people, then you’d have to pay extra to get that many people added to view your blog. But you can have (I think it’s) 30 people view your blog with no charge, and not have them as a contributor.

Take this with a grain of salt, but, http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/05/07/can-i-password-protect-my-whole-blog/
Tells you how to password protect your entire blog and restrict it to “Users”; you can add up to 35 people at no charge. This is how you allow people to see a private blog. But what you’ve done is give them a certain level of admin access
http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/05/12/what-are-the-different-roles/To undo this, go to your dashboard>users (on the far right)>select everyone who you’ve assigned as “contributor” and remove them.
Then, if you haven’t already done so, you’ll need to purchase the upgrade to add unlimited “users”. You’ll have to “add” them back as Users. (no admin rights
Again, take this with a grain of salt. With 750 people, I’d be dropping a note to support to see if maybe there’s an easier way to do this.

But rain, doesn’t she have to “add users” to enable someone to see a private blog? Adding 35 users is a right PITA, but with 750 users they wouldn’t be able to sit for a month, metaphorically speaking!

Yes, she’d have to add them, all 750. I don’t think there’s any way to automate this. I suppose she could ask staff, but am not sure they’d be able to help.
