My Custom HTML Code Is Also Displayed On My Site

    Hi there,

I’m new to all this so apologies if I sound a little dumb here but I added a Goodreads Widget to my site and it wasn’t displaying all my currently reading books only 2 of them. So I thought I’d give the Custom HTML Widget a go and it works…sorta. So it will show exactly what I want it to but it is also displaying the code above it. Why is it doing this and how do I make the code not show on my website?

Here’s the link to my site: https://readramblerepeat.home.blog/
As you can see on the Sidebar it shows all my currently reading books but it also shows the code.

If you scroll right down to the end I have left the Goodreads Widget available to show what I was meaning about it not showing all my books.

Any help or input would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers

    Kristen

  • Hi Kristen, were you able to sort this out?

The Goodreads widget should work. If it doesn’t, you can use any HTML as long as it’s not forbidden here:

Hi, yes I was able to fix it, thank you. I think there was an issue with the widget but it rectified itself.
