My custom image header for the Cocoa theme isn't displaying saved images.
-
I’m trying to upload and save an image to the custom header of my Cocoa theme. I go through the steps of uploading and cropping an image, and It appears momentarily in the header. (It also appears in my media library.) But when I click “Save” at the bottom right of the design menu, the image disappears from the header. I’ve tried optimizing my images and clearing my browser history and cache. What else can I do?
Thank you for your help!

Hi Matthew!
I’m trying to upload and save an image to the custom header of my Cocoa theme.
I see a text header when I visit your site. If you wanted to change this to the city scape image in your Media Library, you can do so here:
https://michaelsanmateo.wordpress.com/wp-admin/themes.php?page=custom-header
See if saving the image in this area is more successful. Let me know how that works out for you!
P.S. The header text color customization isn’t saving either.
This is because color changes to your site require the Custom Design upgrade:
You can read more about that here:
en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/If I can answer any other questions, or address further concerns, please let me know. Thanks.

That worked, Robyn! Thank you. The only thing I’m not clear on is how to navigate to that link using the menus in the dashboard.
I can save your link for future reference, but can you also send me the menu options I should follow to change the header in the future? My problem before was trying to use the Appearance/Customize option to change the header, but that kept taking me to a “Custom Design” menu that appeared on the right side of the window (which wouldn’t save my header changes).

Hi Matthew!

Certainly! I sent you to our classic Dashboard. I will explain to you how to get there, but in the future, that new (more attractive) Dashboard will have all the same functionality. We’re in the middle of updating it!
When you log into your WordPress.com account, and visit your website (matthewsholler.com), you’ll see a black tool bar at the top of the page. In the upper left corner, you’ll see the name of your site. Hover your cursor over the name of your site, and a drop down menu will appear. If you click “Dashboard,” you’ll be taken to the old interface for the backend of your site.
Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks much!
