My customize menu doesn’t have all the options like others
-
Hello.
I’m trying to hide my site title and tagline without editing my CSS or getting a plugin and while watching videos I noticed in Appearance ->Theme->Customize I have fewer menus than the customize menus in the videos. There’s supposed to be a checkbox to display the site title and tagline under Site Identity but I don’t have this either.
Why is this? Do I need to activate something or upgrade my plan?

Hi there,
Your website is using the self-hosted WordPress software.
To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org
For the self-hosted website, WordPress.org forums are the best.

I’m trying to hide my site title and tagline
Please go to Appearance 🠒 Customize 🠒 Additional CSS section and paste the below CSS there:
.site-header .site-branding { display: none; }This would resolve your issue. 🙂

Oh I see, my mistake.
I’ll use the WordPress.org forums from now on.
That CSS solved my problem, thank you very much!
