My Dashboard

I am using various WP tutorials on WP.com, YouTube, ect. to build my site. the dashboard layouts is different on each one and it’s hard to follow instructions. Does each theme have a different dashboard??

Toss everything into the TRash and use only the support dsocumentation that applies to free hosted WordPress.com bloges found here > http://support.wordpress.com and the step by step tutorial Staff have linked to the bottom of your Admin page at http://learn.wordpress.com
Why? Because there are two kinds of WordPress. Read the differences here > http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ Most tutorials and books and videos are for WordPress.ORG software, and not for free hosted WordPress.COM blogs. Those that tack in a bit on WordPress.COM are out of date by the time they are released.
