MY DASHBOARD IS MISSING…..
-
Thanks for your last support message but I’m afraid I am lost in trying to manage my blog. (It has been v successful so far). I have been accessing it via a link in my bookmark bar and then hovering the cursor over my address on the top left corner and entering dashboard. When I tried a moment ago, there is no dashboard appearing. I have logged out and logged in again. I can reach a supposed an admin area with a dashboard which has none of my blog and comments information. It tells me I have not published any blogs (actually I have seven and about 60 comments). In other words I cannot find my dashboard and therefore cannot access the working side of my site. And it’s only a week old! Can anyone help? thanks.
DerekThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This is the login link http://derekbat1.wordpress.com/wp-admin/
You must be logging in as Admin under the exact same username account that created the blog.1. If you are not running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com/ please try upgrading or switching first.
2. If you are using an IE browser in compatibility mode please disable that mode. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1196-internet-explorer-compatibility-view-turn-off.html
3. If you are running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com/
(a) Try clearing your browser’s cache http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050
If applicable see here for instructions on how to clear the cache for Chrome and Safari on the iPad:
http://browsers.about.com/od/howtousemobilebrowser1/ss/safari-ipad-clear-cache.htm
(b) Make sure that you have both third-party cookies enabled and JavaScript enabled
http://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=12654
(c) Disable all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily.
(d) Try enabling HTTPS: http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/
Add both *.wordpress.com and *.wp.com to your list of trusted sites under the Security tab. Make sure to uncheck the box for “Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone.” http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/#frequently-asked-questions
4. Try using another browser.
5. If you are not successful let us know:
(a) Exactly what kind of device you are using to connect to the internet and to WordPress.com.
(b) Exactly which browser (and version of it) you’re using by checking here if necessary http://www.whatbrowser.org/
(c) And what any error reports you receive state. -
I’m sorry> I must be too stupid to blog. I’ve tried everything. I have a brand new imac and a successful working blog site with an instant and growing group of followers. I just cant understand the technical jargon. I have Safari (latest) AND Google Chrome. Everything worked fine until my latest attempt to make a new blog and approve more comments. I have now spent 90 minutes of frustration. Who needs it, eh? I’ll rethink in the morning. My wife works in a digital company and she cant work out why this is so difficult. Do I have more than one log in? Did you send an administrator log in? Can someone look at my account?
Thanks. I’m going to massage my brain. -
What happens when you click this log-in link?

Be descriptive please and post any error messages you get. -
Hi. I get a log in page which I have just successfully negotiated in order to reply. The trouble is that does not take me to the business side of my blog. (Thanks for replying)

What do you mean by that?
This is the Admin side of your blog http://derekbat1.wordpress.com/wp-admin/ -
Hi. It takes me to a prompt box. I enter my username and password and it takes me to a dashboard which has nothing in it. None of my info about my published posts and comments etc appears in the dashboard.
It is as if it has all been wiped. (I have not deleted it). -
I’ll tag this thread for Staff to take a look at that blog and find out where you are going wrong. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

Hi again.
Thanks for your help. I’ll be patient. But my fans will have to wait…I am currently subscribed to the thread so I will check tomorrow (It’s late UK time here).
Kind regards

Hello
I think the access issue may be solved. There was confusion about the numerous usernames, addresses and passwords I’m having to use.
I now seem to be using the right ones. Thank you very much for your attention.
However can anyone advise me how to change my public facing URL? It is a very silly title I was assured would not appear but it does and is hopeless for anyone trying to remember where I am? -
To change your site title – what appears on your site, you can go to your Dashboard and navigate to Settings > General to update that:
