My Deleted Blog Still Redirects My Transferred Domain

  Hello mods,

  I signed up for a Premium membership with WordPress.com a couple of months ago and registered my domain name (thickerman.com) through wordpress.com

  Since then I transferred my domain over to bluehost since I’m hosting my own website through WordPress.org now. The domain successfully got transferred over but my deleted blog still redirects my domain name to my .wordpress.com blog. Could the moderators or admins do something about this please?

  My deleted blog name was:

  thickerman.wordpress.com

  Although thickerman.com has been registered, it is not using WordPress.com nameservers.

  http://thickerman.wordpress.com is no longer available.
  The authors have deleted this site.

  We cannot help with search engine issues. http://en.support.wordpress.com/search-engines/

  IMPORTANT NOTE: Deleting blog content and deleting blogs does not remove any indexed content from the SERPs (search engine page results). Google and Bing only clear their caches of deleted indexed content that produces a 404 (page not found) every 3 – 6 months. To completely remove an entire page from Google search results: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/1663419?hl=en

  Yes I have successfully transferred my domain name to bluehost. It was registered with WordPress.com though. I’m not talking about google searches btw. I’m talking about the fact that WordPress is still using my domain name even though it has been transferred and I deleted my website. When I go to thickerman.com, wordpress still comes up. This is what I would like to resolve.

  When I click this link http://thickerman.com I do not connect to the deleted blog at http://thickerman.wordpress.com As you have changed the nameservers and deleted the .wordpress.com the next thing to do is to clear your browser cache http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache

  My experience and advice is the same. Clear your cache. I’m not having any trouble getting to your site.
