My deleted site is still up???

  I deleted a site. I can’t see it on my profile but it is still up when I google search for it and people can still access it. Why????

  Hi there,

  The account you’re using to post here hasn’t recently deleted any sites on WordPress.com. Of which site are you speaking?

  Deleting a site does not remove it from search engine indexes, and cached version of a deleted site can still be accessed, sometimes even months after the site itself was deleted. Most search engines will automatically remove the cached pages after a few weeks once they detect that the site no longer exists, but otherwise you’d need to request the search engine directly to remove the site. We’re not able to remove content from search engine indexes from our end.
