My Deleted Site Reappeared (Like a Zombie)

    I recently created a new WordPress account with a brand new site and while looking at my list of followers, I saw that my old account was following me. I thought I deleted the account in 2018 but now, the old site seems fully functional with all my old posts.

    Why is this happening and how can I delete my old site for good? I can’t log in now or control my old site in any way.

    That does sound like a fun halloween surprise. This account is only a few hours old, though, and I don’t see any record of the previous site. Could you let us know what it was? Please send the URL so we can look it up for you.

    Is it possible you created your site under a different login?  I do see itslittlecrystal.wordpress.com as listed in our system but it is under a different login than the account you are using now (@therealcrystalc) to contact us here.

    We are not able to help here in the support forums, as verifying account ownership requires us to ask you to provide info that is best not shared in this public venue. However once you are able to prove you are the owner of itslittlecrystal.wordpress.com then we are happy to help you delete the account.

    Hello,

    Thank you for the link but I am unable to provide any of the ‘proof of ownership’ information requested as I believe I have already deleted the email address associated with ‘itslittlecrystal’.

    Would providing that email address serve as proof?
