My display name doesn't appear on my blog
-
I’ve set the display name on my public profile to “Taymon A. Beal”. However, posts I’ve written on my blog are attributed to “Taymon Beal” without the middle initial. How do I fix this?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Taymon,
Let’s give something a try — Could you please add the A. to the first name field in the following places:
http://en.gravatar.com/profiles/edit/#about-you
https://anomalybeta.wordpress.com/wp-admin/users.php?page=grofiles-editorSo, your first name would read Taymon A.
Profile information is pulled from different locations, so let’s see if we can cover all our bases by doing this.
Please try that solution, and let me know what happens. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks very much.

Hi again,
Are you referring to the way your name appears as author on the posts on your site anomalybeta.com? If so I’m only seeing older posts, created before you made your change.
Could you create a test post and publish it to see how that works for you? You can delete it immediately, if you’d like.
Once you’re done with testing posts created AFTER the name change, I can finish troubleshooting the issue for you.
Thanks much!

Hey Taymon,
Thanks for looking into that. I did more researche based on your results, and it seems that your name (without the middle initial) is coming from your Google + profile.
Take another look at your test post:
http://anomalybeta.com/2014/10/10/test-post/I disconnected the option to use your Google + profile, and instead, use your WordPress.com author name.
You can of course, change that back as you’d like.
Here’s how to repeat the steps I took:
- Open your Post in your editor, or click below:
https://anomalybeta.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=17&action=edit - Scroll to the bottom of the page where you see “Associate my Google+ information with this post.” I deselected this, and clicked update to save the post. You can reverse the step if you want to reconnect after changing your profile at Google.
Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks much!
