My domain

  I let my recurring subscription to my domain lapse, so that I could renew it on my new web host, but the domain is still listed as taken so I can’t renew it on the other host. Help.

  Unfortunately that isn’t the best way to move a domain. Here is a document explaining why, and what you can do:

  Hi there,

  That domain has already been removed from our system and is currently in redemption with our registrar. It is still possible for me to recover the domain at this point, but our registrar charges a $80 fee to restore a domain from redemption. I’ll need you to agree to that fee before I can get the recovery process started.

  Please do not refer users to Wild West Domains. That is the registrar used by WordPress.com, and only we can help restoring a domain that has gone into redemption with them.
