  I have two wordpress blogs at the minute (one I forgot about because I created it years ago and the other a new one with a domain name.) If I delete my wordpress account will I still be able to use my domain name again if i recreate another blog. Sorry if this sounds really silly but i’m a technophobe trying to use a blog! Thanks

  Hi there,

  Firstly, WordPress.com accounts can’t be deleted. Instead can be left inactive.
  The first step of deleting account includes deletion of site or emptying your site.
  – If you delete your site, you won’t have the domain name back until it’s expiration period is over.
  – If you empty your site, the site still remains linked to that account.

  I see you want your blog linked to another WordPress.com account. So, you can transfer your blog to another account by following this documentation step by step:

  Once the blog is transferred you can delete your account
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/deleting-accounts/

  Hi hannahsovetra,

  If I delete my wordpress account will I still be able to use my domain name again if i recreate another blog.

  If you want to use the domain again, it will need be transferred to another account first. Which domain would you like to keep? And which account do you want to delete?
