  Hi, I would like to redevelop my site in WordPress. It was built in Wix, and I would like to keep it there while I redevelop the site, and then go live with it. Can I do that without changing my domain’s DNS and without charge? Thanks.

  Hi there,

  Yes that is correct. You can get fully set up in private here, using the “wordpress.com” URL we assign at the time of site creation. When you are ready to “launch” you can connect your domain at that time, which will seamlessly replace your Wix site with the replacement you set up here on WordPress.com.

  To do that, you will “map” your domain to us by following the steps here: https://wordpress.com/domains/add/mapping/
