I paid the domain mapping fee to renew my personal website name, but my website still cannot be viewed from that website. I wasn’t able to renew my domain earlier, so do I have to pay another fee to get my website working again? If so can I receive a refund for the Dom a in mapping charge I made?

So what happens to the domain mapping charge, if I might need to pay the redemption fee?

Hi there,
Your domain shaylafterthought.com fully expired and is in the process of being removed from our domain registrar and released so it can be registered again as a new domain. (When that happens, anyone will be able to register the domain again.)
The domain mapping upgrade you purchased doesn’t renew or register that domain name, so I went ahead and refunded it for you. It may take some time for that refund to appear on your bank statement, but you can find the refund receipt in your Billing History.
Once the domain is completely expired and released, you’ll be able to register it again as a new domain on the Domains page. (I don’t know exactly when that will happen, so I recommend checking back over the next few days to see when it becomes available again.)
