  My domain doesn’t work unless I preface it with www.

  http://www.taiwoheard.com — works!

  taiwoheard.com — goes somwhere else.

  I’m seeing taiwoheard.com as having WordPress.com nameservers. If you are trying to point it to another webhost, I would think you would want to be using their nameservers.
