My domain is erroneously showing up as 'taken'

  I unlocked a domain recently and have been trying to obtain it through WordPress but I am getting an error message I shouldn’t be getting. The domain is no longer taken, I have canceled and unlocked it through my other provider—it should have processed by now according to the support tech. Why is WordPress still showing ‘taken’ for my domain?
