My domain is expired
-
In July 2015, due to the economic crisis and consequent cutting some expenses, I left my domain expire: http://www.capplegnami.com.
I thought with it to return automatically to the initial domain FREE:
http://www.capplegnami.wordpress.com.So it was, but with the bitter surprise that wordpress does not allow me to interact more with my blog, obscuring the display as soon as I try to operate by modifying or adding a post.
I kindly ask you a hand to solve this unfortunate situation.
The ideal for me would be able to operate with the initial free domain, but do not know how to remove the display dimming.
What I can’t understand is why, as I had not renewed the domain payment http://www.capplegnami.com not allow me to continue to operate, such as http: //www.capplegnami.wordpress. com, free of charge as it was the beginning for many months after opening the blog and before I decided, with no obligation to move to paid domain http://www.capplegnami.com.
Thanks x whosoever will lose some of his time on my problem.
Regards, mauro capplegnami.I need help for the blog capplegnami.wordpress.com.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can still access your site and content at https://capplegnami.wordpress.com/
The domain expiry alert, or display dimming occurs only the first time anyone visits https://capplegnami.wordpress.com/
This alert should go away if you remove your domain from the dashboard by following these instructions: https://en.support.wordpress.com/cancel-domain/
Give it a try and feel free to ask if you have more questions.

Thank you for the answer … I’m sorry but I can no longer access my blog. Just I do it, the display goes dark and there is no way to remove this problem.

This is only true for any visitor, not for me. To me the display remains obscured. I also tried to clear cache and cookies, but it did not do anything. And if I try to insert a new post, from my dashboard, and I click the Preview button, the display dims immediately and does not allow me to work more.

I’d like to remove the domain from my dashboard but do not know how. I tried to follow this link: https://en.support.wordpress.com/cancel-domain/ but it did not do anything because in this page are treated other topics, different from mine.
Unfortunately I’m still in a dead end and do not know how to solve.

Hello capplegnami!
I’ve removed the expired domain from your account. You can access your site at “capplegnami.wordpress.com” now and the alert will not be shown. :)

Since this is not an old forum, I was wondering carinapilar, if you could do the same for me? I had: solarpoweredhappiness.com but now just want the free domain back but it doesn’t seem to let me. Help please?

If your site is hosted on WordPress.com, you can set your free domain (example.wordpress.com) as your primary domain by following these instructions: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/#setting-the-primary-domain
Give it a try and let me know how it goes.
