My domain is gone.

    I have had the domain http://www.starcopia.com for several years, and it was on recurring billing. What happened to it? I don’t see that it was not renewed and I was not notified. I want it back NOW! Make it happen. Do I make myself clear. I am mad!

    Hi there,

    From what I can see you last renewed starcopia.com on Apr 30, 2019 when I look here: https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/billing

    However, I do not see that the domain was renewed during the same time in 2020, and as a result has expired for lack of payment. Did you not see our renewal reminders? We sent several “Your WordPress.com domain starcopia.com is due for renewal” emails to your address between 4/25 and 5/25 alerting you that your domain was going to expire.

    At this point we are no longer in control of the domain starcopia.com and are not able to restore it to your account as too much time has passed.

    No, I did I not get a renewal notice. I have faithfully renewed my domain each and every year. You were responsible for my domain, and therefore, it is your responsibility to get it back and available for me. Also, it should have been on autorenewal.

    Hi there,

    We attempted to autorenew your domain several times, but the renewals failed because the card we had on file for you had expired in June 2019 already. We cannot charge an expired card.

    We sent several emails to the address associated with your WordPress.com account, and our domain provider sent several reminders to the email address provided in the domain contact information, both before and right after the domain expired. If you didn’t receive any of those emails, then they might have been filtered into spam by your email provider.

    You also still had around 90 days time after the domain expired during which you could have renewed it.

    But at this point the domain has been completely removed from our system, and it has since been registered by someone else at another domain provider. So the domain now belongs to someone else, and there is no way any more to get it back.

    There is nothing more we can do here.

    Do you still have the same service to purchase a domain name at that cost? I do not want any other service.

    Yes, you can still register a different domain. The price will depend on the extension (TLD); you can check all the prices here:

    Note, however, that you wouldn’t be able to set that custom domain as your primary address without purchasing one of our paid plans:
