I know its status still shows like in redemption, but it’s already out of our control, so the status will likely change in no time. That said, you will want to wait for the domain to be released and re-register it then.Here’s more information about the domain expiration process:

Yes, it is about pawsandplayct.com. The status changed this morning on ICANN to show that it is now “pendingDelete” to which the actions specify: “If you want to keep your domain name, you must immediately contact your registrar to discuss what options are available.” I searched my registrar, Automattic Inc., and found that it’s associated with WordPress, which is why I reached out.
Is there any estimation on how long this will take until it becomes available again? 10 days? 10 weeks? I am ready to repurchase the domain as soon as it becomes available. Is there nothing else that can be done?

Many thanks for getting back to me.
There’s no ETA on when the domain will become available again. The best advice we’re able to give at this stage would be to keep checking it’s status and to also check via Manage > Domains > Add new as to when it is available for purchase.
