My Domain is Parked!

    Last year I purchased a domain on WordPress, then I transferred it to another website provider. It was working well for the last year, however, when I did not renew my WordPress subscription, it removed the domain from my other provider. Now when you go to the website, it says, “This domain is parked.” I cannot reactivate this domain on either website provider… How can I get my domain back?

    I didn’t realize I had only redirected my site to WordPress, but not completely transferred it. A similar thing happened to the user on this forum, and WordPress was able to reactivate it so it could be properly transferred. If this could be done for me, I would be so thankful!!

    Hi there,

    Are you speaking of goebelscabinets.ca?

    That domain has never been transferred away from us. You pointed it from us to Wix by updating the name servers, but the domain registration itself has always remained with us, ever since you first registered this domain with us on 25 December 2019.

    The domain auto-renewed on 25 November, and you cancelled it on the same day for a full refund. You contacted live chat support on that date to ask for advice on how you can cancel and refund the renewal.

    That is why the domain now shows it’s parked – it will remain parked until it expires on 25 December, at which point it will follow the standard process for expired domains.

    If you still want the domain, you’ll first need to pay for its renewal again. I’m sending you a link via email that you can use to do that. Let us know here once you’ve completed the payment, and we can restore the domain to your account.
