This means that your domain is expired and is about to be processed out of the system.
Unfortunately, we’re not able to restore the domain to your account when it is listed as pending deletion. If you’d like to renew your ownership of this domain, your best bet is to wait until the domain is available to register again.
Once the domain has been released by our registrar, you can register it once more by following this guide:

Thanks so much for your reply. Is there any way around this? We are an international nonprofit public charity and need this domain. Clearly, it is our error in overlooking the renewal. I have a registered trademark on “Moving In The Pause” and would like to keep the domain. Can WordPress work with us?

Unfortunately, the ‘pending delete’ status means that there’s nothing we can do from our end. We just have to sit tight, and wait for the domain to be released again.
There will not be any notification when the domain is released. Because of this, my suggestion is to try and register it daily.
