My domain name is linked to the wrong wordpress

Hi,
I registered for a domain name, http://www.southernshacks.com, it is supposed to be linked to southernshacks.wordpress.com, but somehow is connected to southernshacksdotcom.wordpress.com. I do not know how that happened since I do not have a southernshacksdotcom.wordpress.com. How do I get it changed so I can link it to the correct account?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The domain is registered under a different WordPress.com account. You can reply back from the other account to verify your account ownership, this way I can move either the southernshacks blog to your other account, or move the domain to your ‘rwoodforever’ account.

I do not know if there is a actual southernshacksdotcom.wordpress.com or if that is what I accidentally put into the spot. When I log into my wordpress and go to my blogs, it only shows “southernshacks.wordpress.com, not both of them. Is there any other way to verify that it is actually me, so I can get it transferred?

southernshacksdotcom.wordpress.com and southernshacks.com are registered under a different account (southernshacks).
If you don’t have access to your account or forgot the password, you can request a new password over here.
Please follow the instructions carefully. You’ll receive two separate emails during the reset process, so make sure you read them both. If you don’t receive the emails right away, check your spam folders as well. The confirmation emails can get caught in them sometimes :)

Im sorry this is difficult. I do not have access to the account name/email, so i cannot recover the password. I only use two emails and both are not linked to the account. I believe when setting up the domain name, i accidentally used dummy information. I have used your account recovery site and added whatever information I could find to show I own the domain name.
Thanks for all your help so far, is it a lost cause? Obviously the dotcom at the end of southern shacks was a mistake.

alright. didn’t remember using the gmail account for that,but evidently i did. i’ve had a young whippersnapper doing this correspondence and trying to switch this web address for me. now he’s left to go on tour and i’ll have to try to deal. i’m barely internet friendly.
i want to keep the domain name -southernshacks.com,but want to use it for a tumblr blog. no offense! but i think the tumblr is easier for me to use .i’m about to go straight up luddite.

somehow i emailed this response to myself. don’t know if you’re seeing this.are you? i got logged into wordpress.com with my gmail,which i still don’t remember using. anyway,what do i do now?

If you want I can still move the domain to your other (rwoodforever) account that has southernshacks.wordpress.com attached to it. Or do you want me to point it to Tumblr instead?

you are the bomb! i’ve never dealt with such helpful customer service people!!! especially helpful because i get frustrated in about one nano second with computer world. ( can you tell i’m in the ‘over 50 ‘ crowd? )
all i want to do in life is have southernshacks.com be a tumblr account.

@southernshacks I’ve pointed your domain to Tumblr. Now you can follow these step on Tumblr:
1: Click Settings (the gear icon) at the top of your Dashboard.
2: Click the blog you’d like to update on the left side of the page.
3: Check the box that says “Use a custom domain name” and enter your domain southernshacks.com
4: Click “Test your domain.”
5: Correct problems if the test finds any, and click “Test your domain” until the test is successful.
6: Hit “Save.” -

alright.i’m a total dumbass. am i suppossed to go to wordpress.org,wordpress.com,or southernshacks.com to find the dashboard? i can’t see the dashboard.
