My domain name is not working when I go to add a domain

    I want to create a site for a client who yesterday gave me their new domain url. I added it in to wordpress and it said the domain was taken altogether. I emailed the client back to see if anyone had created a login with that domain in wordpress already and they said that they hadn’t. Then today, after I tried entering it again, it said that ‘sites with .co are currently under maintenance and to check back later.’
    Is there anyone who can help with this issue?

    Hi there,

    I assume that you are trying to perform domain mapping. What is the domain name which you are trying to add?

    Hi ro4887,

    I can see you purchased and then cancelled domain mapping for wellteq.co, earlier today.

    I added it in to wordpress and it said the domain was taken altogether.

    The domain is already registered through GoDaddy, which is why you saw that message. It’s not possible to register the domain through WordPress.com but you can setup domain mapping.

    Do you need any further help or did you decide you no longer needed the upgrade?
