my domain name is still under the wrong name

  Greetings,

  I have 2 blogs with WorPress: cluelessdoctors.com and migraine-book.com Some time ago I had a free wordpress blog: havenomigraines. Now if I type in migraine-book.com I get to the correct page but if I click on any of the blog headings (Home, About, On Drugs, Drug Reduction, News, they take me to havenomigraines, which no longer exists so I get an error message. The last link “buy the book” takes me out to the site I wanted.

  In looking at the blog posts for migraine-book.com in admin setting, I have absolutely no posts!!! Only “About” yet I posted all my other posts under migraine-book.com.

  Is there any way you could just dump that havenomigraines site since I am not using it anyway and it just confuses things??? Thank you!

  Also, when I want to go to https://migraine-book.wordpress.com/wp-admin/ I get an error that it does not exist (this is a premium wordpress account so it better exist!

  I get this error page: https://en.wordpress.com/typo/?subdomain=migraine-book with the message:

  “migraine-book.wordpress.com doesn’t exist
  The address migraine-book.wordpress.com cannot be registered. Only lowercase letters (a-z) and numbers are allowed. But you can sign up and choose another one.”

  Of course it cannot be registered; I own it. And when I log in, it takes me to the havenomigraines.wordpress.com, which is the one that does not exist! Please fix this so I can have my page!

  Hi Angela,

  I just took a look at the setup of havenomigraines.wordpress.com, which has the domain migraine-book.com attached to it. Everything is indeed setup correctly here, the issue was that the “Home” button was part of a custom menu, and the custom URL was incorrect. It was set to go to a (presumably old) URL called havenomigraines.com.

  I took the liberty of going in and fixing it so that it now goes to the correct URL and everything appears to be fixed now. I also see 7 posts and a page, so it does look like you have content in this site.

  In regards to your second message, I don’t see a blog under your account for migraine-book.wordpress.com. Are you sure that’s the correct address? Let me know!

  Thanks amightywp. No, the actual address is migraine-book.com since it is a premium site. It has no wordpress site because of the “-” in the name but migraine-book.com is a domain I had for over a year at shopify and brought it over to wordpress just now. I cannot change the domain. So the confusion comes from there. My edit is under https://havenomigraines.wordpress.com/wp-admin/ and I suppose this cannot be changed. The problem is only coming up in the confusion of the name change when I edit… Sometimes the edited new article is not showing up under the right category and I sometimes am having a hard time editing… It is confusing. I know.

  Thanks for setting the URL correctly; at least it now works!!! I will post later and see if I am able to edit properly and I will update here when I get into trouble.
