My domain pointing to DaddyThoseMenScareMe.wordpress.com is not working

  I have redirected DaddyThoseMenScareMe.co.uk to DaddyThoseMenScareMe.wordpress.com and it has stopped working.

  I have set this as the primary host. It was working once.

  I have checked the DNS server names on spacereg.com and these look OK ns1.wordpress.com – ns4.wordpress.com.

  Please help as my site is currently unreachable!

  Hi there,

  I just took a look at your domain and I don’t see anything wrong on our end. I did however notice something when I did a whois look up:

  http://who.is/whois/daddythosemenscareme.co.uk

  Specifically this part:

  Registration status:
  Registered until expiry date.
  *** This registration has been SUSPENDED. ***

  I’ve never seen this exact status before, but I would recommend reaching out to your domain registrar and making sure that the domain itself is currently functioning.

  Let me know what they say and if it is still working OK. If it is, we can take another look on our end. It could just be a propagation issue (the process where changes to how the domain points spread through the internet . . . it can take up to 72 hours for some types of domains!).

  Thanks, amightywp – you got me onto the right track.

  I did get in touch with ‘SpaceReg’, my domain registrar, who pointed out that http://www.nominet.org.uk had been in touch, I had not replied to their email so they had suspended my domain.

  Nominet.org.uk hold all of the details on UK domains and some are checked for their content. I had DaddyThoseMenScareMe as the ‘Registrant Name’ which they didn’t recognise. They wrote and told me to confirm my name, I didn’t reply, so they suspended my domain.

  I got in touch with them and they sorted it out PDQ.

  I did have other domain names which do not have me given as the owner, which I have updated, lest they be checked at some stage.

  Ah ha! There are some similar requirements via the over-arching domain government body, ICANN, but I hadn’t seen a site taken down quite yet.
