My domain provider is asking me for the IP address my WordPress blog
-
My domain and email host Crazydomains.com.au are asking me for the WP IP address so they can point my domain to my WP blog/site.
I originally had the domain pointing to the WP blog/site using your domain mapping tool. Then when I went to set-up email with Google Apps (gmail) using the same domain, Crazy domains changed all the configuration, so I can now access gmail, but my domain no longer points to the WP site. They say I need an IP address from WP so they can point it there again. Can you help pls? -
Hi there,
Because of the way that our servers are configured, a single IP address is not available for your specific blog. You can only point your domain at our servers via a CNAME or through our nameservers.
If you’d like, you can point your domain towards our nameservers and then configure your Mail Exchange records (MX Records) to point towards Google Apps within our system. That will allow your domain to work with us and allow your email to work. Let me know if this is something that you’d like to pursue!
