My domain went to THE WRONG WORDPRESS BLOG
-
I just purchased a domain and it went live on the WRONG WordPress blog. Please help.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This is so aggravating. Who am I supposed to contact for help? I don’t understand why there is no way for users to contact help. I just spent money on an upgrade and there’s not a support staff member in sight. This is why WordPress annoys the living crap out of me. I also just ordered 500 business cards listing my new domain WHICH WILL NOW GO TO THE WRONG BLOG. Thanks, WordPress.

I’m also sitting here wasting part of my Sunday trying to figure out this mess and getting aggravated all because I made the stupid choice of purchasing an upgrade with WordPress.

well, it’s working properly now, so maybe someone already fixed it. The frustrating part is it took me more than an hour to purchase an upgrade. It’s pathetic. What am I supposed to do when I want to upgrade again? Is the same thing going to happen? Why isn’t there a way of selecting which site you want the upgrade to be applied to? I purchased my domain using my main site’s admin dashboard, yet the URL still was activated on a different site. Automatically. Please explain why this happened and how I can avoid it in the future.

Domains are tricky sometimes. Any change in domain settings, including purchasing a new domain, usually take a little time before you can see them working. How long it takes depends on what part of the world you’re in and how quickly your ISP checks and updates DNS records. However, mapping to the totally wrong blog doesn’t sound normal at all.
I cannot go back to see what you were seeing before, but I can check current account records. I just reviewed the staboo WordPress.com account and found that a new domain cassandrakeenan.com was purchased on 2015-10-25 18:52:19 UTC and connected to the cassandrakeenanart.wordpress.com blog on WordPress.com. When I type http://cassandrakeenanart.wordpress.com/ into my browser, I am redirected to http://cassandrakeenan.com/ which appears to be working normally. I can’t see any evidence of it having been mapped to a different blog and then moved from the searches I am able to do on your account. I hope this helps and if there’s anything else I can do, please let me know.

well, it was live on the wrong blog, unless I am hallucinating. I know how to distinguish one blog from the next. Like I said, it’s working fine now, but I am afraid of what will happen next time. I wish someone would tell me how to avoid it. Otherwise, its kinda like spinning a roulette wheel.

Since I didn’t see the problem happening live and I can’t see any evidence of it moving into the current blog when checking now, I don’t really have a good way to figure out what might have happened by looking at the current setup. Earlier you mentioned it was connected to the wrong blog but you didn’t mention the name or address of that wrong blog. Can you tell me the link of the wrong blog where you saw it connected before? Maybe I will be able to see something by searching there that I couldn’t see by looking at the http://cassandrakeenanart.wordpress.com/ blog before.
