My Drafts Are Not Appearing On My Desktop
-
Hi,
I have edited a few drafts through the app on my phone, and now, I cannot access them on my laptop. It’s saying on my laptop ‘This block has encountered an error and cannot be previewed.’ I really wanted to work on these drafts. Help! The site I need help with is woundedcat.wordpress.com.

Hi there!
I don’t see any draft posts on your site. Have you already published those posts or trashed them?
-
I already moved them. They were old drafts that were written before WordPress started the blocks features. I really don’t benefit from the blocks features, however, and I wish to keep writing without that feature. Do you know if that’s possible?

We have tips for transitioning from the classic editor to blocks https://wordpress.com/support/switching-from-the-classic-to-the-block-editor/ and FAQs: https://wordpress.com/support/replacing-the-older-wordpress-com-editor-with-the-wordpress-block-editor/#frequently-asked-questions
And, if you really want to use something like the classic editor, we recommend sticking with the classic block: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/classic-block/
We also have some extensive documentation available at https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/
If you have any feedback on the new editor, we’re always looking for ways to improve it, so please let us know!

Thank you for your reply.
I’m kind of an old fogey, and I don’t want to waste time clicking here and there to just get my writing down. I want to be able to just go to my web page, click on the”Write” icon and start typing without being concerned about “blocks.”
Even the Classic Block is too cumbersome. If you want my personal opinion, please have an easier, straightforward option and allow us to COMPLETELY opt out of using blocks, and let us just start typing our drafts, then have us add on your features when we are ready to post, if you really need us to use your new features.
thank you-

And you can do exactly that. You don’t need to add a new Paragraph block each time. Just start writing. The default block is the Paragraph block. Every time you click Enter, the editor adds a new Paragraph block in the background.
There’s another support guide that is better geared towards those who just want to write. You can find it at https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor-for-writers-bloggers/

Ok, I will try. Thank you.
Another issue I have been having is if I try to cut and paste a piece of writing, I can’t paste it as a draft to WP.
How do I paste my writing as a draft onto WP?
thank you-

Going back to your initial post:

Are you using the WordPress desktop app or are you logged into your account via a web browser?
If it’s the desktop app, that is a known bug at the moment that should be fixed in an upcoming release. In the meantime, you should be able to log into your account via a web browser and edit your posts the way you like.
If it’s the web browser, can you let us know what browser (and version) and operating system (Windows or Mac and what version) so we can take a closer look? Thanks!

It’s through my web browser. I use Safari.
If you go to https://www.whatismybrowser.com/, you’d be able to copy a unique URL with your results. If you could add that to your reply, it would help us a lot. Thanks!
