My e-mail account doesnt work after I moved my website to a new domain

    After setting up my “lyst.wordpress.com” to “lysth.dk” (a domain I own) my email “(email visible only to moderators and staff)” suddently doesn’t work. The homepage works perfectly, but I’ve realised that I dont recieve e-mails. What shal I change in the set up?

    The message I get, which doesn’t help me a lot is: Technical details of temporary failure:
    The recipient server did not accept our requests to connect.
    [(10) mail.lysth.dk. [76.74.254.120]:25: Connection refused]
    [(10) mail.lysth.dk. [192.0.81.250]:25: Connection timed out]
    [(10) mail.lysth.dk. [76.74.254.123]:25: Connection refused]
    [(10) mail.lysth.dk. [66.155.11.238]:25: Connection refused]
    [(10) mail.lysth.dk. [192.0.80.250]:25: Connection timed out]
    [(10) mail.lysth.dk. [66.155.9.238]:25: Connection refused]

    Hi Maiken,

    In order for your email to work correctly now that you’ve pointed your domain to WordPress.com, you’ll need to be sure you moved over all of the DNS records. These are records specific to your email service that allow your email to work. You can read more about them here:

    DNS records

    Can you let me know what service you have your email through? If you can pass along the records, I’m happy to add them on our side!

    Hi Jeremy,
    I’ve cheked the page you suggest and unfortunately I’m still not really sure what to do. I’ve tried, but it doesn’t seem to work.
    I have my e-mail service through DanDomain (and got it registered though DK Hostmaster). I would be so happy I you could help me!! Thanks.

    Hi again, I have now got these informations from my provider. I have tried to fill in the informations, but apparently I am doing it wrong. I would be extremely happy if you could help me.
    The infos are:
    MX record: mx01.dandomain.dk
    Mail A record: 194.150.112.200

    This is what I have done, that doesn’t work. Sorry, would attach a screen dump – but you’ll probably be able to see the same from where you are.

    Hi there,

    It looks like you’ve actually entered the records correctly. It can take up to 24-48 hours for the DNS settings to propagate. So, it may just take some time before your email starts working correctly. Can you let me know if it doesn’t start working within the next 12 hours?
