My e-mail address is duplicated in another account??

I got this message from WORDPRESS:
p.s. Your account is using the same email address as another account. Please change the email address if you have not already done so.Is someone else using my e-mail to register an account???
When I look at my mail address it has been changed to: dupe-2 (email visible only to moderators and staff)
The only possible explanation is that I seem to have 2 accounts and I cannot get rid of the first because it is somehow attached to the second one where I am posting. The other is empty and seems to be the PARENT or first one that was created. When I complained, you you told me there was no way of deleting the parent without affecting the “child”
The second one (the oen I use) is attached to the parent account and I Suppose both have the same address and it is only me out there. One of them has no reason to be but I cannot make it go away. I need wordpress intervention so I do not receive that message again.

If the 1st user account has the email, why not login as that user and change the email address in your Admin => Users => My Profile. If that doesn’t work, contact support directly at http://wordpress.com/contact-support/
