My editor has disappeared
-
My ‘wysiwyg’/Rich Text Editor has disappeared. When I try to write/edit a post/page, I get the html version of the editor, not the wysiwyg version.
I checked out the faq here – http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/04/12/the-editor-has-gone/
I refreshed my browser, restarted my comp, but it doesn’t help.Thanks for any help.

Please confirm that the visual rich text editor is actually turned on. Other bloggers have experienced it turning off although they did nothing.
=> Dashboard => Users => Your Profile
Check mark the box for the visual rich text editor and click “Update Profile”.If that doesn’t work then send a feedback to staff including information on your operating system, your browser and the version of the browser you are using.

Refreshing the browser and clearing the cache are two seperate things.
Also note that it;s a forced refresh of the browser that’s listed. On a PC, that’s a CTRL-F5. Just an F5 will only reload it from your local cache. The CTRL-F5 pulls the page yet again.
Hope this helps,

The issue was resolved before you posted here. The comment you made was not necessary. If you continue this pattern of spamming the forum what choice will we have but to request that you be “locked out”? Please, please stop. -

No, it’s not. It’s a useful part of people’s computers and you need to learn more before you post your opinions.
