My email address has changed since this website has been put together

  Hi, my email address has changed since I got married.
  My email address is on the google platform and all emails to my old email address ( (email visible only to moderators and staff) ) should forward to my new email address ( (email visible only to moderators and staff) ). however, when I try updating my password (because it’s been a very long time since I’ve edited my website sadly), I don’t get an email to reset. Please assist.

  Hey there, it sounds like you might be dealing with two different issues. I can see the email address on this account is correct. Do you have another account with us? If you’ll send a link to your site, we can verify.

  Thanks for sharing that link. It looks like luxcollege.org isn’t hosted with WordPress.com. Is that who is provider for your email address, or the site that you own?

  We’d need to know which site/account that you’re trying to access.

  Hi there

  So I’m really confused now. A third party put this website together for us a while ago and I’ve simply lost the login details.

  I’m not even sure if the website http://www.luxcollege.org can even be reached with the account I’m using to chat to you. I’m pretty certain this is one I have created and its not actually linked to any website.

  The only other email addresses that could have been used were:
  (email visible only to moderators and staff)
  or
  (email visible only to moderators and staff) (but when I try do a password reboot on this email its rejected so I don’t think this will work.)

  Our luxcollege.org domain is on the Google platform. My email address changed from (email visible only to moderators and staff) to (email visible only to moderators and staff) and all the emails to the .c account should be forwarded to the .df account but when I try do a password reboot on the .c account with wordpress I’m not getting a password reset email coming through on the .df account. It’s also not in the spam folder.

  I just don;t know how to reach the website.

  Hi there,

  The forum you’re posting to now is for the hosting provider, WordPress.com, and your site isn’t hosted with us, so we don’t have any control over it. Your WordPress.com username account you’re using to post here has no connection to that site, and you can’t use this account to log into that site.

  The site at luxcollege.org was built using the open source WordPress.org software, which is something different, and is hosted at Afrihost.

  The account you’re trying to access is the admin user account for that site. That account only exists on that specific site, and is created in the database where the WordPress software stores all your site data.

  Do you have access to the hosting account at Afrihost? If so, you can update the email address and password directly in the database – your hosting control panel at Afrihost will have an option there to access the database via a tool called PHPMyAdmin. You can find instructions on what to do once you have access to that here:

  You can also try contacting Afrihost support directly for help resetting your admin user credentials.

  If you don’t have access to the hosting account, i.e. if the hosting was set up by and is still in control of the person who created the site for you, then you’ll need to contact that developer directly for help with this, as in that case they technically “own” the site, and Afrihost won’t be able to help you directly.
