My email address was hijacked to create this account

  I went to sign up for a new WordPress account, and got the “Sorry, that email address is already used!” message. The thing is, I haven’t signed up for a WordPress account before. I went and used the forgotten password function to retrieve the account details, and it turns out some hijacker has created a username g2-8ef3fad4acb5d6da49f986dc4aa2b467 using my email address.

  Could you delete this account please? Or at least disassociate my email address from it, because I would really like to create my own account without having to use a different email.

  Not sure it was somebody else, it’s happening to many people, in the last days. Please contact support, so that staff can have a look at the backend
