My email is not updating

    I have tried to update my user email address many times but I never get the confirmation email in order to verify. Help!

    I don’t see any recent email update requests for the WordPress.com account you’re using to post here.

    Did you update the email at https://wordpress.com/me/account/, or somewhere else?

    Hello,
    No, I did it under the “User” tab on the dashboard. It kept saying, “the new address will not become active until confirmed.” But it never sent an email to the address I added. I used the link you sent and received the email right away! So thank you.

    So this is strange. It has changed my email for WordPress, so I am now signed in with the updated email. But 1) I still get emails from WordPress to my old email (got one today). 2) Under users for the website it still has my old email. Is this an issue with Bluehost?

    To clear up any further confusion, there is WordPress.com and WordPress.org, and they are two different entities.

    We, WordPress.com, are a cloud-based platform where we manage WordPress sites, whereas WordPress.org is stand-alone software that you can download and self-host with any other hosting (like Bluehost).

    That said, the link that @kokkieh shared allowed you to change the email on your WordPress.com account, however, it seems like you have a WordPress.org site hosted on Bluehost, which is independent of your account here.
    For any issue regarding WordPress.org, you’ll want to post to https://wordpress.org/support/forums/.
