My embedded google 'my places' map does not view correctly in IE?
-
I have a couple embedded google ‘my places’ map in my blog. For example,
<iframe width=”425″ height=”350″ frameborder=”0″ scrolling=”no” marginheight=”0″ marginwidth=”0″ src=”http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?vpsrc=6&ctz=420&ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=215886781292357147796.0004ae84db09023f55e40&ll=32.799741,-117.247297&spn=0.005206,0.018098&t=m&output=embed”></iframe>
<small>View Urban Art Farm – Pacific Beach Inspirations in a larger map</small>and the map works fine if the blog is viewed in chrome. But if the blog is viewed in IE, the drop pins do not load. Please advise on a solution.
Thanks!

Here is the html code that is not working in IE again for convenience. The first is the shortened version when it gets reduced by the visual option. The second is the link provided by Google ‘My Places’ Map. Thanks for the time!

Yes, the issue definitely appear to be IE-only.
Can you please tell us what version of IE you’re using?
-
It is IE 8. Obviously, we would like to come up with a solution that allows any IE user to view the drop pins and associated information.
-
I was able to reproduce this problem in IE 8. However in switching to “Compatibility Mode,” the pins and pop-up information downloaded for me.
Can you let me know if viewing this page in “Compatibility Mode” works for you?

So strange. I went to check it my IE 8 was running in “Compatibility Mode” (it was not) and the drop pins and associated information were displayed! I then switched the “Compatibility Mode” on and the pins remained. But, in IE 9, the pins are not displayed. If I toggle “Compatibility Mode” on and then off, the pins show. Is there more of a comprehensive solution? One that will allow the pins to load without toggling “Compatibility Mode” on and off.
Thanks everyone for your input so far. Definitely appreciated.

This is starting to feel more like an issue on Google’s end. Do you have any add-ons running with IE? If so, would you mind checking with those temporarily disabled?
-
Site is working completely fine in IE 8 with or without add-ons. IE 9 does not work with add-ons on or off.
-
Do you have JavaScript enabled in IE 9?

I am not sure what you mean by main Maps, but the site is working today in IE 9. Tried it with two separate computers and no problems. I did not even have to click the compatibly option. Any ideas on why would be appreciated.
Thanks again for all of your help and time.
